Knowledge Hub: Get Started Guide
An overview of Knowledge Hub and how to use it to customize Lumos AI agents for your organization.
Overview
Knowledge Hub is Lumos's system of record for organizational context — any language-based data that feeds Lumos AI agents at runtime. By adding context to Knowledge Hub, you can customize how Lumos agents understand your organization, apps, policies, and access rules.
Key Concepts:
Scoping — Context applies to specific agents (strict). This ensures your rules only affect the relevant product area.
Tagging — Suggestions for which applications context is most relevant to (flexible). Tags help agents retrieve the right context for the right app.
Product Guides
Knowledge Hub works across all Lumos AI products. See the dedicated guide for your product area:
Knowledge Hub: App Store — Customize how the App Store agent handles access requests, app discovery, and policy enforcement.
Knowledge Hub: Access Reviews — Provide rules that shape the AI's accept, reject, and review suggestions.
Knowledge Hub: Albus Chat — Improve Albus's accuracy for general chat, role mining, RBAC analysis, and permissions work.
Knowledge Hub: Identity Intelligence — Customize how agents detect and flag security issues.
Getting Started
Identify use cases — What context does your agent need to work effectively?
Scope by use case — Start scoped to your product area to avoid conflicts.
Author context — Create clear, concise context entries with relevant tags.
Test — Run workflows to ensure agents pick up context correctly.
Iterate — Gather feedback and refine context over time.
Context Quality Checklist
[ ] Context is clear and actionable for the agent
[ ] Scoping prevents conflicts across product areas
[ ] Tags accurately reflect relevant applications
[ ] Workflows run successfully with new context
Tips
Be specific — The more precise and deterministic your instructions, the more reliable the agent's behavior.
Test after changes — Always verify that agents are picking up and using new context correctly.
