Persistent Table Views

Last updated: August 25, 2025

Lumos now supports Persistent Table Views, starting with the Apps table. This feature lets you save and quickly return to your most useful table configurations — filters, columns, and layouts — without having to rebuild them every time.

Overview

With Persistent Table Views, you can:

  • Apply filters (e.g., by status, owner, or risk level).

  • Show, hide, reorder, and resize table columns.

  • Save the configuration as a named view.

  • Set a default view for yourself.

  • Share views with teammates so everyone is looking at the same data.

This helps reduce repetitive filtering, makes tables easier to navigate, and ensures consistency across your team.

How It Works

  1. Navigate → Go to the Apps table in the Lumos Admin Panel.

  2. Configure → Apply filters and adjust columns to fit your workflow.

  3. Save → Click Save View, give it a descriptive name (e.g., “Security Review Queue”), and save it.

  4. Access & Share → Your saved view will now appear in the table’s view list. You can re-open it anytime, or copy the share link to send to a colleague.

Example Use Cases

  • IT Admins: Create views for apps pending review, blocklisted apps, or license optimization.

  • Security Analysts: Build a view showing only “At Risk” apps or apps with sensitive data.

  • App Owners: Save a view filtered to only the apps you manage.

FAQs

Q: Are views private or shared?
A: By default, views are visible to everyone in your Lumos domain. More granular controls (private and limited-sharing views) are planned for the future.

Q: Can I create multiple views?
A: Yes. There is no hard limit, though most users find it best to keep a small set of go-to views.

Q: What happens if a filter field is removed?
A: Your view will still load, but the removed filter/column will be ignored.

Q: Will this be available in other tables?
A: For now, Persistent Views are available only on the Apps table. Support for additional tables is coming soon.
